Two new resources are available for download from Women’s Learning Partnership:

Arabic edition of Iranian Women’s One Million Signatures Campaign for Equality: The Inside Story

A comprehensive account of Iranian women activists' successful awareness-raising efforts on a grassroots level.
— Shirin Ebadi
Nobel Peace Laureate, 2003

Originally published in Iran, and released through the WLP Translation Series in English following Iran’s 2009 presidential election, the book is now available in Arabic.

This resource details the history, strategies, and values that brought together a diverse group of Iranian women, men, and rights activists for the well-known women’s equality campaign. It is a valuable case study of a new model for grassroots movements in the twenty-first century, applicable not only in societies ruled by autocratic governments or influenced by radical fundamentalism, but also in more open and tolerant societies that have yet to achieve full equality for women.

Particularly relevant during the current movements for democratic reform in the Middle East, the new Arabic edition provides an important tool for women, activists, and academics to address creative means by which women can mobilize to preserve their legal rights during this time of transition.

Evaluation Manual: Measuring Change: Monitoring and Evaluating Leadership Programs

How do we know whether participation in our programs is really contributing to changes in women’s lives? And how do we make our programs more effective?

Program monitoring and evaluation are our most powerful tools for exploring whether we are really contributing to the change that we would like to see in the world. Measuring Change: Monitoring and Evaluating Leadership Programs looks at the systematic evaluation and monitoring of the impact of WLP's leadership trainings in women's lives and their communities, and offers a broader framework and learning tool for activists and NGOs seeking to develop and adapt models of change that apply to their own programs.
